Shots fired in Tabuk at US citizen’s car
Saudi Gazette - TABUK - A driver opened fire on a car driven by a US citizen in Tabuk region after crashing into his vehicle, but there were no casualties, Saudi state news agency SPA reported late Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear if the incident was a deliberate attack on the American or just a case of road rage.
First Saudi firm issues sukuk in Malaysia
Saudi Gazette - RIYADH – Riyadh-based Al Bayan Holding became the first Saudi Arabian company to issue an Islamic bond in Malaysian ringgit, paving the way for more corporations from the Kingdom to tap into Malaysia’s market, the world’s biggest for sukuk.
Al Bayan issued 200 million ringgit ($65.4 million) as the first tranche of a newly established 1 billion ringgit program, a statement from Guidance Financial Group, the company’s advisers, said Wednesday. Pricing details were not immediately available.

Obama meets with Qatar emir to discuss Syria crisis
Saudi Gazette - WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama met with Qatari emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani at the White House Tuesday amid a flurry of meetings with regional leaders on Syria's increasingly bloody stalemate.
"Obviously we've been cooperating closely with Qatar and other countries in seeking to bring about an end to the slaughter that's taking place there (and) the removal of president (Bashar al-Assad)," Obama told reporters.
